FOCUS CONGO
As we continue to grow and create more zine issues and events. We continue to stay in our purpose of giving back to the global community. A portion of our zine pre-sales for issue 3 will be given to Focus Congo. “Focus Congo is a non-profit organization, established to support the development and well-being of communities in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).”

Its founder, Pappy Orion, has been working for years to recover and rebuild resources, such as healthcare, water, clothing, and food for the surviving millions of Congolese people affected by conflict; and educate the world about this ongoing crisis as it pertains to individual consumption. Over 7 million Congolese people have been internally displaced and brutalized by militia groups in the Eastern and Central regions of the DRC. Funded by large corporate suppliers after raw materials like cobalt, copper, and high-grade coltan, these violent rebel groups inflict harm on all ages to supply these materials to the global west.

To uplift, empower, and free the DRC, Focus Congo has been active in incrementally providing stability every step of the way. This summer and fall they have created tiered programs to help raise funds for specific needs. The newest initiative is partnered with Voluntaryism in Action, to help provide sustaining community gardens in the eastern providence of the DRC.

We will be giving 15% of our presale profits to this initiative.
